Marisa is a Licensed Clinical Social  Worker with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. She has worked in a variety of settings, including psychiatry inpatient, mental health, and substance abuse outpatient programs.

Marisa received her undergraduate degree from the College of State Island  (CUNY) and later received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.

Marisa considers herself to be an eclectic therapist. She uses a combination of treatment modalities but is formally trained in EMDR and is a certified DBT therapist.
